The seminar
The seminar was organised around four main themes, which lay at the heart of the discussions: responsibility, digitalisation, international outreach and the Normandie Impressionniste brand.
The first theme examined a responsible festival, emphasising sustainability and environmental impact. The players discussed ways to reduce the festival’s carbon footprint, encourage responsible practices and raise the public’s awareness about these issues.
The second theme led to reflections about the festival’s fit with new digital practices. In a high-tech era, it is crucial to explore the possibilities provided by the digital world to extend the festival’s outreach and communicate with a broader public. The players discussed the use of social networks, online platforms and other digital tools to promote the festival and make participation easier for its audiences.
The third theme led us to take an interest in the international development of the festival. Normandie Impressionniste is already recognised as a major artistic event in France, but it also has a potential for outreach on an international scale. The players explored strategies to attract international artists, experts and visitors, thus strengthening the festival’s outreach and prestige.
Finally, the debate turned to the Normandie Impressionniste brand. The festival has a strong identity and an established reputation, but it is important to continue working on its renown and recognition. The players discussed the ways to strengthen the Normandie Impressionniste brand, develop strategic partnerships and create a coherent and memorable experience for the visitors.
The ideas and proposals discussed during this seminar will act as the basis for guiding the future development of Normandie Impressionniste.
Normandie Impressionniste is a large-scale artistic festival which highlights the region’s impressionist heritage. Thanks to these thought-provoking efforts and collaboration, the festival is ready to evolve and continue to captivate the public with original exhibitions and events.
