DOUBLE GUIDED VISIT "VOIR EN COULEURS"
Saturday 7th September, 3pm
As an extension of the exhibition Fantastique Physique! at the MUNAÉ and chiming with Laurent Millet’s show, Former l’hypothèse, at the Centre Photographique Rouen Normandie, this double visit provides an exploration of the theme of optics, through the prism of an apprenticeship to colour. The explanation and handling of several objects mark out the journey through MUNAÉ, such as Newton’s disc, before a discovery of the work of the artist Laurent Millet, a former lab assistant. Practising the ancient technique of bichromate gum printing, you can go back over the history of this process and its connection with the history of the depiction and the reproduction of colours.
In the presence of Laurent Millet (subject to confirmation).
Meet up at 3pm, MUNAÉ, 185 rue Eau de Robec, 76 000 Rouen. The visit will then continue at the Centre photographique Rouen Normandie, 15 rue de la Chaîne, 76 000 Rouen.
