More than ever, the 5th edition of the Normandie Impressionniste festival is establishing a link between history and today on the theme of the spirit of invention. This collaboration between the École Supérieure d’Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen (ESADHaR) and the École 42 Le Havre has given art design students an exceptional opportunity to give free rein to their imagination in the conception of innovative digital projects.
Every form of invention is possible, in the creation of digital objects that are innovative, hybrid, playful, educational and poetic, aimed at the festivalgoers. These digital creations are part of the programme, as in a kind of embedded festival.
Among these propositions can be found : DESY.
DESY is the name of a web app project that deforms an image taken by a camera thanks to the sounds in its environment. “To display quickly what goes quickly”, as in the studies of the sky and the depiction of clouds by the Impressionists; we linger over a study of sound, its representation and its use as a tool for digital painting. The application requires access to a device’s mic and camera.
An ongoing project by the students Jin Celine (Ecole 42), Thomas Argentin and Loïck Bainachi (ESADHaR)
