From Havre to Caen in 3 stages
Recommended period: April—August

Stage 1: From Le Havre to Honfleur

Visit Le Havre, classified as a World UNESCO Heritage site, with Auguste Perret’s emblematic architecture. Between tradition and contemporary creation, discover Le Portique, the Théâtre de l’Hôtel de Ville, the MuMa’s permanent collections and its exhibition “Photography in Normandy (1840-1890)”

Then to Honfleur, the cradle of Impressionism, its old port and the Musée Eugène Boudin.

Stage 2: From Trouville-sur-mer to Cabourg

▶︎ Go for a bike ride to Trouville-sur-Mer and Deauville with its “Planches”, seaside villas and exhibitions at Les Franciscaines and the Musée Villa Montebello
▶︎ Continue your journey to Cabourg and its unmissable Villa du Temps retrouvé, dedicated to Proust, and so dive into a trail around Edouard
Vuillard and into contemporary show by Davide Quayola.

Stage 3: Caen

▶︎Departure for Caen, its Château, its Musée des Beaux-Arts and its numerous exhibitions, including Le spectacle de la marchandise. Then enter the worlds of Sean Scully (Saint-Nicolas Church), Lily van der Stokker (FRAC Normandie) and Thomas Pausz (Abbaye aux Dames), before going to the Artothèque to discover Nelly Monnier and Eric Tabuchi’s photographic atlas of Normandy.
