From Giverny to Le Havre in 3 stages
Recommended period: May to July

Stage 1 : Giverny and its surroundings 

▶︎What better departure point than Giverny with Monet’s garden and the Musée des Impressionnismes, with its two exhibitions Impressionism and the Sea and Hiramatsu Reiji, Water Lily Symphony? 
▶︎ Then, head off to discover some inspirational sites for painters: Vernon, Les Andelys and its panorama from the Château-Gaillard.

Stage 2 : Rouen and its surroundings

▶︎ Thence to Rouen, to explore its medieval lanes and contemplate its cathedral which, 150 after Monet, has become the canvas for Robert Wilson’s projection. This an opportunity to discover a large number of Impressionist exhibitions: Whistler, the butterfly effect, David Hockney: Normandism.
▶︎ Then go for a bike ride along the Seine: La Bouille, Jumièges and its Abbaye which is hosting works by the contemporary artist Laurent Grasso.

Stage 3 : From Yvetot to Le Havre

▶︎ Stay over at Yvetot to admire Europe’s largest stained-glass window in the Église Saint-Pierre, then head for the Galerie Duchamp to experience moments of luminous contemplation. 
▶︎ Then continue to Le Havre, classified as a World UNESCO Heritage site with Auguste Perret’s emblematic architecture. This is an opportunity to go to the MuMa and the Théâtre de l’Hôtel de Ville to discover their impressionist and contemporary exhibitions.
