From Giverny to Pont-Audemer
Stage 1: Giverny and Vernon

▶︎Arrive at Vernon station, then enjoy the rich heritage of this ancient medieval town with its Tour des Archives, the remains of Philippe Auguste’s castle, its old mill and other historic sites.  An opportunity to visit the Musée de Vernon to discover Jean-François Rauzier’s exhibition Givernisme, Hyperphotographies to admire monumental photographs made up of hundreds of photos of the gardens of Giverny. 

▶︎Go to Giverny by bus, bike or else on foot, to explore an emblematic site of Impressionism: Claude Monet’s garden and the Musée des Impressionnismes de Giverny where two exhibitions are displaying paintings by great masters: Eugène Boudin, Johan Barthold Jongkind, Claude Monet, Gustave Courbet and Hiramatsu Reiji with Impressionism and the Sea and Hiramatsu Reiji, the Water Lily Symphony.
 
Stage 2b: via Evreux 

▶︎Leave Vernon on the 210 bus for Evreux, the capital of the Eure and its exhibitions La zone and  Dépaysages at the Musée d’Art, Histoire et Archéologie. 
If you take this trip to the Eure on the weekend of 22nd September, don’t forget to drop into the Moulin d’Andé to celebrate the festival’s closure.
 
Stage 2: from Les Andelys to Louviers

▶︎By bike or bus, go along the Seine to discover some inspirational sites for painters, Les Andelys and its exceptional views from Château-Gaillard and the Musée Nicolas Poussin. Make the most of this excursion by visiting Louviers and its lanes, its museum and the exhibition devoted to Venice. 
 
Stage 3: from Poses to Lyons la Forêt

▶︎By bike, head for Poses to relax beside its lake before visiting the town with its typical Normand architecture. You can also discover the fluvial art site Dans le Sens de Barge and its event Amers remarquables. 
▶︎Head back north by bike to Lyons-la-Forêt, a typical Norman village where Paul-Emile Pissarro, the famous painter’s youngest son, lived for 10 years. An opportunity to discover the world of Camille Pissarro at an exhibition devoted to his work and his family. 
 
Just for pleasure: 
▶︎Discover the historic town of Pont-Audemer, classified as one of the “Plus Beaux Détours de France” then visit the Musée Alfred Canel and above all its exhibition “Adolphe Binet (1854-1897) Peintre des dernières lueurs”.

▶︎En bus avec la ligne 210 (Vernon > Evreux) et la ligne 202 (Vernon > Louviers) ou bien pour vous rendre à Louviers : prenez le train Paris > Le Havre, arrêtez-vous à Val de Reuil et montez à bord du bus C1.
