Digi’Edu is a scheme of collaborative educational initiatives aimed at high-school students in Normandy which connects the students and their teachers with artists and cultural centres. This educational tool’s aim is to develop the students’ cross-digital skills and favour collaborative work between the territory’s establishments.

This scheme led to the creation of the project Digi’Impressionniste aimed at 5 high-school classes in Normandy, including over a hundred students from a variety of backgrounds. The students commit to an artistic project associated with contemporary Impressionism along with Paul Rousteau, the renowned photographer whose work follows in the footsteps of the Impressionists. His photographs, often over-exposed or blurred, form series of playful experimentations. By pushing his camera as far as it will go, this artist has invented new forms of perception.

An end show has been planned for 27th May 2024 which will unveil the fruit of the students’ work: a participatory photographic piece in which everyone can explore their landscape and vision of Impressionism.

▶︎ Practical information:
As part of the development of the “Pack Numérique Lycéen”, the High-School Direction of the Normandy Region has been promoting educational projects with a view to high-school student’s general digital skills. 
The scheme’s originality lies in the inversion between the student / actor posture. This is because Digi’Edu places the students in a position of “project leaders”, in charge of the decision-making that will direct the end result. It is thus the students’ creativity, involvement and responsibility which come into play.
