A workshop for the ephemeral production of vegetal works in the cloister of the Abbey Montivilliers: each of the cloister’s galleries will represent a season with its emblematic vegetation. Each group of participants will install a season with the help of plants and origami animals to create a décor in the manner of a still life.
This action of awareness-raising about the beauty of the vegetable world will chime with the way the impressionist painters managed to capture nature in all its seasons. After this workshop, there will be an invitation to visit the garden-park on the river pathway, a recently refurbished wetland.
The aim of the Land Art workshops will be to use only local vegetation collected during the upkeep of the town’s green spaces with a view to producing ephemeral works. The plants will then be composted by the municipal services for use according to the needs of the municipal greenhouse. There will thus be no impact on nature.
