Walk in the footsteps of Monet, Pissarro or Gauguin in the city of Rouen, the cradle of Impressionism, and enjoy a lunch with dishes reproducing the recipes in the cookery notebooks of none other than Monet himself.
This guided visit (2h on foot) is an opportunity to discover and experience the atmosphere of the sites that inspired the great painters of the late 19th century: the Seine, the Cathedral, the quays... Soak up an evocation of the city back in their day (the south bank and factories, Place de la Haute Vieille Tour and Les Halles), with exhibition spaces, and the studios used by Monet when painting the cathedral. Let yourself be invaded by the charm of the play of clouds in the sky of Rouen, the glints of the waters of the Seine and the variations of light on the façade of the cathedral.
An impressionist lunch will then be awaiting you in a restaurant in the historic town centre. You’ll enjoy a meal inspired by the recipes in Monet’s cookery notebooks (starter, main, dessert, beverages).
